Where does our tea come from?

Tearoute comes from Greece, but the only teas that grow in Greece are our herbal blends.


Our black tea comes from China (Hunan, Yunnan, Anhui), India (Assam, Darjeeling) and Sri Lanka (Uva, Dimbula, Ruhuna, Balangoda).We also use a black tea from Indonesia (Sumatra) for our English breakfast and Irish breakfast teas.



Our green tea comes from China (Hunan, Zhejian) and Japan (Kyoto, Myazaki, Kyushu). We also use a rare green tea from Sri Lanka for our blend A Tale of Two Teas.

Our white tea comes from China (Fuijan).



Our Rooibos tea comes from South Africa and our Maté comes from Brazil.


Our Oolong tea comes from China (Fuijan, Hainan) and from Taiwan.


The flowers, fruits, nuts and spices we add in our teas mostly come from Greece, Turkey, Germany, Austria. Our chamomile comes from Croatia. We also use Egyptian chamomile for our Digestion tea.
